"This is a world divided by blood – red or silver.

The Reds are commoners, ruled by a Silver elite in possession of god-like superpowers. And to Mare Barrow, a seventeen-year-old Red girl from the poverty-stricken Stilts, it seems like nothing will ever change.

That is, until she finds herself working in the Silver Palace. Here, surrounded by the people she hates the most, Mare discovers that, despite her red blood, she possesses a deadly power of her own. One that threatens to destroy the balance of power.

Fearful of Mare’s potential, the Silvers hide her in plain view, declaring her a long-lost Silver princess, now engaged to a Silver prince. Despite knowing that one misstep would mean her death, Mare works silently to help the Red Guard, a militant resistance group, and bring down the Silver regime.

But this is a world of betrayal and lies, and Mare has entered a dangerous dance – Reds against Silvers, prince against prince, and Mare against her own heart."

This book! Where do I even begin? I can honestly say I have never read anything like it!
I can also say, sadly, the begin was a little dull, but it made up for it. I just had to push through, not very far, to get to the goods.

Red Queen is full of surprises, you would be thinking one way, and BOOM! "Surprise! Didn't see that coming did you? Well there is more!"

It's like a superhero book, but not. There are people with powers, called Silvers (Because there blood is silver), and then there are the ones without, Reds, who have red blood.
The Silvers rule, and the Reds work.
But a Red has been found that has silver powers, but none of the other silvers can find out. So they hide her in plain sight. With the royal family.

This book was so good, it gives me goosebumps just thinking about. And! it was totally appropriate, nothing is glorified.
Well, there is a little violence, but hey, your trying to protect yourself. The violence can't be helped.

This book is one my very tip top of my list on the Re-Read Shelf for all time.
I am very excited for the second book as well!

(I hope this review wasn't just a bunch of mumbo jumbo)
